The Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology , located in Marburg, is a distinguished research institution under the auspices of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science. The Metabolomics Core Facility of the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to our cutting-edge research in the dynamic field of metabolomics.


Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of our dynamic research team, your role will encompass the following exciting responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning Collaboration: Collaborate closely with researchers at the MPI for Terrestrial Microbiology, and external partners to contribute to the planning of innovative research projects in the field of Metabolomics.
  • Cutting-Edge Method Development: Spearhead the development and optimization of novel LC-MS methods. Drive innovation by developing methods for structural elucidation, and lipidomics. Pioneer the integration of isotopic labeling strategies into routine facility operations.
  • Scientific Documentation and Publication: Thoroughly document and meticulously publish your groundbreaking scientific results.

Your profile
  • Ph.D. in analytical, biological, or related natural science disciplines.
  • Proven expertise in mass spectrometry and chromatography.
  • Strong self-motivation, commitment, and collaborative spirit.
  • Independent work style with creative and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent English communication and social competence.
