In the Statistical Genetics/Bioinformatics group (M. Nothnagel):

  • Development and application of analysis approaches in the field of Statistical Genetics (high-throughput data, population genetics, forensic genetics)
  • Provision of statistical support in collaborations with biological and medical research groups
  • Assistance in the university curriculum
  • The opportunity for a habilitation is given.


  • PhD in Statistical Genetics, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Bioinformatics or a related quantitative field
  • Working knowledge of genetics, population genetics and epidemiology as well as experience in scientific programming and with high-performance computing clusters are explicitly desirable

The position is available from the 01.08.2021 on a full-time basis (39,83hours per week). It is limited to a term of 5 years. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
