Job description:

The announced position is to be occupied in our Institute of Meteorology and Climate Research - Atmospheric Environmental Research (IMKIFU) in Garmisch-Patenkirchen. It is  embedded in the BMBF-funded collaborative project "Integrated Greenhouse Gas Monitoring for Germany (ITMS,https://www.itms-germany.de )" and will be carried out in close collaboration with the German Peatland Science Center (https://www.hswt.de/en ). • calibrate and evaluate the model and assess uncertainties
  • develop a GIS-based modeling framework for the federal state of Bavaria and Germany
  • calculate GHG emission inventories of organic soils for Germany with uncertainty analysis
  • interpret the model results in close collaboration with peers from both the bottom-up and top-down modeling community
