to be filled. Starting date is 1/18/2024. The position is limited to Dec 31, 2025.

We are an interdisciplinary team seeking to advance our understanding of socio-ecological resilience of land systems. The postdoctoral researcher will work in land system science on the topic of resilience of land systems in an interdisciplinary project in forestry and agricultural sciences.
The main tasks of the postdoctoral researcher will be:

  • Research on resilience of land systems to climatic, biotic and socio-economic perturbation
  • Literature review
  • Writing publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Supporting proposal writing for collaborative projects

To complete these tasks, an internationally experienced professional with an excellent scientific interdisciplinary profile and a strong background in ecology is required. The candidate must have completed their PhD examination and have an academic record and academic performance to date (i.e. determination, breadth of research activities, academic productivity). Applicants are expected to have strong analytical skills and experience in data management and R or similar software. Experience working in multinational and interdisciplinary research environments is advantageous. The postdoctoral researcher must be fluent in English; knowledge of German is an asset.
