The Chemical Energy Storage department works on all aspects of catalyst development. Current projects include, for example, the synthesis and testing of catalysts for CO2 utilization and exhaust gas purification of steel mill gases in industry-financed and publicly funded projects. We are looking for your support as a post-doc in the field of heterogeneous catalysis!

What you will do

  • Synthesis, characterization and testing of heterogeneous catalysts
  • Evaluation of conversion and selectivity data
  • Independent work in the laboratory and pilot plant
  • Interpretation and presentation of results to customers and project partners 
  • Operation of test facilities

What you bring to the table

  • PhD in chemistry, especially technical chemistry
  • Experience in evaluating characterization methods, especially XRD, BET
  • Knowledge of Phyton and DoE is desirable
  • Expertise in the synthesis and use of sulphide catalysts is desirable
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English 
  • Independent and conscientious scientific approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis an is initially limited to 3 years.
