At the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research , one of the 86 institutes of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, physicists, chemists and biologists create knowledge of long-term relevance to life and basic medical sciences. Currently, our around 270 employees are divided into four departments and one Max Planck Research Group. In addition, the institute is part of the Heidelberg Mannheim Health & Life Science Alliance - an association of the leading life science research institutions in the region.

The Max Planck Institute for Medical Research is seeking a Postdoc/ project engineer for the Department of Cellular Biophysics.

Description

Recently, researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research have developed a novel coating method that mimics nanometer-scaled moth eye structure for anti-reflection applications. To date, conventional mass-production of such structures was complex and expensive. In contrast, our nano.AR method has the potential to be more easily extended to produce larger, commercially more interesting volumes. Our workgroup thus investigates the possibilities to extend the application of the nano.AR technology into various optical and technological fields. In this context, we are seeking a Postdoc/ project engineer for a temporary project.
