Research scientist (m-f-d)

(wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter*in, salary TV-L E13 100%)

The position is available from 01.02.2023 and limited for three years.

Tasks:

  • Participating in a research grant funded (DFG) project about the role of the epidermal growth factor receptor on vascular changes in adipositas.
  • Undertaking experiments on primary & murine vascular smooth muscle and endothelial cells.
  • Performing and analysing molecular biology, protein biochemistry and cell function assays.
  • Data analysis, summary and publication
  • The possibility for a further scientific qualification (Habilitation) is available.

Requirements:

  • masters degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or equivalent graduation, PhD completed or will be completed latest at the beginning of february 2023.
  • experience in tissue culture of eucaryotic cells necessary, experience with human or murine vascular cells would be appreciated
  • knowledge of the analysis of next generation sequencing and proteomics data (IPA, proteome discoverer, MaxQuant,...), further education in bio informatics would be helpfull
  • experience in the analysis of eucaryotic cells regarding molecular biology (qRT-PCR, ddPCT...), protein biochemistry (Western blot, ELISA, ....) and cell function (metabolic analysis, adhesion, migration, survival....)
  • fluent in english in speaking and writing, knowledge of german would be appreciated
  • experienced in office programs, literature management applications, statistics software..
  • responsible working, teamwork oriented
