We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a background in synthetic organic chemistry to join our research group. The Teskey group is located in the Institute of Organic Chemistry at RWTH Aachen University, Germany on the edge of Germany's most westerly city and at the border of the Netherlands and Belgium. Our research projects are centred around the combination of transition catalysis and light which we leverage to discover new reactivity in organic synthesis.
- Applicants should have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry or a closely related area.
- Experience in organometallic chemistry may be advantageous.
- A good knowledge of English is essential and some knowledge of German may be beneficial.
- The position will be available from September 2022 and is intially for 12 months with the opportunity for extensions.
- Funding is through the Boehringer Ingelheim Stiftung.
