Job description:

Your Job:

  • Developing efficient methods for lattice field theory problems
  • Implementing these methods on highly-scalable supercomputer architectures
  • Applying for and taking care of supercomputer resources
  • Coaching of bachelor and master students
  • Publishing results in physics journals and presenting them at international conferences

All these tasks are in collaboration with the scientists at JSC and in the Budapest-Marseille-Wuppertal lattice.

Your Profile:

  • Masters degree and PhD in theoretical particle physics
  • Strong motivation for working in the field
  • Willingness present results at international conferences
  • Good command of English; knowledge of German is not a prerequisite (courses are offered)
  • Structured and systematic working style and ability to work cooperatively in international teams

The position is initially for a fixed term of 2 years, with possible long-term prospects. Salary and social benefits will conform to the provisions of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund) depending on the applicant’s qualifications and the precise nature of the tasks assigned to them.
