The Young Investigator Group Magnons: X-rays and Models is looking for
Postdoc (f/m/d) Development of X-Ray Spectroscopy Techniques for Magnetic Materials
Your Tasks
- You will perform X-ray spectroscopy measurement at state-of-the-art large-scale facilities.
- You will perform quantitative data analysis using programming languages such as Python.
- You will perform preliminary calculations to interpret the results.
- You will work in an interdisciplinary team with several other research groups in Germany and abroad.
Your Profile
- Completed PhD studies in physics, materials science or similar
- Excellent knowledge X-ray spectroscopy techniques (time resolved is well appreciated)
- Good knowledge of programming
- Knowledge in using programs like Quanty and Quantum Espresso are highly valued
- Good teamwork skills and willingness to work in an interdisciplinary environment
- Very good command of English (C1 level)
- Experience in presenting scientific results and a strong publication record
