The Institute for Theoretical Physics at the Georg-August University of Goettingen invites applications for a
Post-doc position (all genders welcome)
- TV-L E 13 (100 %, 39,8 hrs) -
in the field of computer simulation of polymer materials and soft matter. The initial appointment will be for one year and an extension is possible.
The project aims at studying the kinetics of self-assembly of copolymer materials, accounting for complex thermodynamics of multicomponent polymer-solvent systems within the framework of highly coarse-grained particle-based models and comparing the results to experiments and continuum models. Candidates are expected to have finished a Master University study and hold a PhD degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering, have proven experience with molecular simulations of coarse-grained polymer models or structure-formation dynamics, and have very good communication skills in English; experience in high-performance computing (e.g., using GPUs) is required.
