Process Systems Engineering at Technical University of Munich (location at TUM School of Life Sciences, Freising) is looking for a PostDoc focusing on molecular dynamics simulation for food systems.

Project
Molecular dynamics is used in many branches of chemical, physical, and materials research for computational and model-based assessment of various phenomena and properties. In this exploratory project, exemplary prob-lems in food science and technology shall be investigated in collaboration with experimental groups to establish the foundations for the simulation-based investigation of complex food systems on the molecular scale.

Your Profile
Qualified candidates have good communication skills, strong interest in interdisciplinary work as well as simula-tion-based methods. A university degree in chemical/process/food or bioprocess engineering, chemistry, phys-ics, material science or a similar field with above-average grades followed by a PhD where experience with mo-lecular dynamics simulation has be acquired, are essential.

Our offer
The position shall be filled as soon as possible. The initial contract will be for a fixed term of two years. We offer a scientifically diverse working environment with much personal responsibility and scope for action. Payment is according to qualification and follows TV-L (German Collective Agreement for Public Services). In the case of comparable suitability, aptitude and professional achievements, candidates with a severe disability will be given preference. Applications from women are particularly welcome.
