Postdoc and PhD positions are available at the Chair for Efficient Algorithms headed by Prof. Stephen Kobourov at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) Campus Heilbronn. English is the language of the research group and the University; knowledge of German is not necessary. The research interests of the group are in the areas of efficient algorithms, including graph algorithms, computational geometry, dimensionality reduction and visualization.

We offer full-time positions with a competitive salary, 30 days of vacation, social security according to the Federal German Payment scale TV-L 13 (gross annual salary of 52k-75k EUR, depending on qualifications and personal situation). The group is part of the Technical University of Munich's School of Computation, Information and Technology, which provides the potential for many collaborations.

TUM Campus Heilbronn is home to students and faculty from more than 50 countries, as the entire curriculum is taught in English. Heilbronn is a mid-size town, along the beautiful Neckar River. It is the home of the AI Innovation Park Heilbronn, where the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich is joining TUM as a strategic partner with additional professorships in the core areas of computer science and data science.
