Are you interested in harnessing the power of transcriptomics to decode dynamically changing cell states in bioengineered cells to enable cellular therapies and regenerative medicine? Then you should be interested in this joint Ph.D. project in the Westmeyer Lab (https://www.westmeyerlab.org/), which will combine innovations in mammalian cell engineering with state-of-the-art machine-learning-based single-cell transcriptomics.

Your Profile

  • Excellent master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, natural sciences, or other data science-related social disciplines,
  • previous experience with the analysis of sequencing data,
  • the ability to be self-motivated and work with an interdisciplinary team of bioengineers, biochemists, neuroscientists, and data scientists,
  • excellent English language and organizational skills.
