Offer Description
The German Maritime Museum - Leibniz Institute of Maritime History (DSM) is one of eight research museums in the Leibniz Association. The exhibition and research program focuses on the investigation of maritime technologies and the relationship between man and the sea. With around 100 employees and trainees and approximately 8000 square meters of exhibition space, it is one of the largest maritime museums in Europe.
The DSM is characterized by the direct spatial and content-related connection between research-based exhibitions and walk-in original objects in the open-air port. The aim of the educational work is therefore not only to bring maritime history to life for specific target groups, but also to provide access to scientific discourse. For these tasks, the DSM is looking to strengthen the "Education & Mediation" team at the earliest possible date
a museum education assistant (f/m/d)
The position will initially be based on the Part-Time and Fixed-Term Employment Act for a period of two years; the aim is to make the position permanent thereafter. The position comprises 39.2 h/week. Depending on qualifications, the position will be classified in pay group 9b. The position is generally suitable for part-time work.
