Job description:
Investigation of the solar variability in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere based on model experiments with the chemistry-climate model UA-ICON-ART
You will be responsible for model development, model evaluation, and analysis of model experiments. In particular, you will
- Further develop UA-ICON-ART to implement processes relevant for the lower thermosphere (ions and excited species, Joule heating, chemical heating, particle impact and photoionization)
- Evaluate the model against satellite data
- Set up, execute, and analyze model experiments
- Publish results in scientific Journals and on scientific conferences
The position gives the opportunity to do a PhD. It is anticipated that the candidate will pursue a PhD.
