Your Job:

  • Developing a spatially resolved charging infrastructure model in Python as the main task in this work
  • Literature research on the electrification of road freight transport, in particular on the charging infrastructure in Germany
  • Development of a suitable methodology for mapping a nationwide charging infrastructure in Germany by 2045, taking into account the requirements for the German medium and low-voltage grid, the spatial suitability of the charging points and different high-voltage systems
  • Extension of an existing hydrogen infrastructure model to include the charging infrastructure for heavy-duty vehicles
  • Evaluation and suitable preparation of the results that have been acquired within the context of the master`s thesis

Your Profile:

  • Engineering Master studies (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science) or similar with good grades
  • Software and programming knowledge in Python
  • Interest in automotive engineering, electrical engineering and/or energy systems desirable
  • Ability to work independently and analytically in a project team
  • Fluent language skills in written and spoken English
