Internship, Bachelor or Master Thesis (w/m/d) – Modeling, Simulation and Analysis of Power System Components

Your Job:

To meet the need of advanced simulation capability required by the energy transition, we’re developing software that enables large-scale parallel simulation of power systems on with the aid of cutting-edge technologies such as the supercomputers of the Jülich Research Centre and high-performance computing (HPC) clusters with newest GPU and FPGA based accelerators.

Your tasks will be:

  • Developing energy system component models (e.g. wind turbines, storage systems, etc.) in the framework of our parallel simulation environment
  • Support in the design of test cases
  • Performance evaluation in large-scale power system simulation

Your Profile:

  • Good background in electric power engineering, physics, mathematics or other related subject
  • Experience in energy systems and modeling
  • Experience or good knowledge in programming
  • Interested in modeling and simulation
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
