What you will do

  • Developing high-speed digital systems for innovative communication devices

  • Design, test and implementation of digital signal processing algorithms on FPGA

  • Concepts for new communication systems

  • Real-time implementation, integration into the communication system, documentation and testing of IP cores

  • Preparation and execution of system tests in the laboratory

What you bring to the table

  • Scientific university degree in one of the following fields of study: electrical engineering, communications engineering, information technology, computer science, physics or a similar subject

  • Creativity and interest in new technologies

  • In-depth knowledge of high-speed communication systems

  • Experience implementing complex systems on FPGA including standard software tools, e.g. Vivado

  • Experience with optical, RF and baseband measurement equipment such as OSA, AWG, oscilloscope, network analyzer

  • Good knowledge of VHDL /Python/C/C++/Matlab

  • Experience with version control tools such as Git and GitLab

The position is initially limited to 2 years. An extension is explicitly desired.

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
