We are looking for a student assistant (m/f/d) for an international, comparative third-party research project titled "Gender Norms and Labor Market Outcomes (GeNLaMO)" funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The main objective of the project is to provide new empirical and experimental evidence on the impact of gender norms on labor market outcomes of women and men. This international research project is part of the Polish-German funding initiative "Beethoven Classic 4" and is being carried out together with a cooperation partner in Poland.
The student assistant is expected support the ongoing background research for the project (e.g. literature search, data preparation, documentation) as well as the administrative part of the project (e.g., connected to the survey design or data management and analysis). They will also assist organizational project-specific tasks, e.g. workshop preparation. We strongly encourage the application of students with an interest in empirical economic research in the field of labor market economics and gender economics.

Job Description:
• Participation in the DFG-funded third-party project "Gender Norms and Labor Market Outcomes".
• Support of the scientific staff in research, administrative activities and other project-related tasks
• Processing and empirical analysis of different types of quantitative data
• Literature research

• good knowledge of English, knowledge of Polish and German is an advantage
• Student in Economics or a related field
• Good academic performance
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic knowledge in statistical data preparation and analysis (especially in STATA) and handling large data sets, or willingness to acquire such skills
• Interest in empirical economic research, labor market and gender economics
