The Center of International and Comparative Political Economy is led by Prof Dr Thomas Rixen and focusses on the interplay between economics and politics in research and in teaching. Past and current focal points include tax policy, financial market regulation, monetary policy, social and labour market policies as well as inequality and distribution issues. In the future, topics of transformation and sustainability will also be focused on. Job description:

• Contributing to research and teaching in the Department of International and Comparative Political Economy

• Conducting courses on International and Comparative Political Economy in the Otto Suhr Institute's degree programmes.

• Opportunity for further academic qualification in the field of International and Comparative Political Economy

Requirements:

• Completed academic university degree (Master's, Univ. Diploma or equivalent) and completed doctorate in political science, economics or social science

Desirable:

• doctorate in a political, economic or social science subject with a very good or excellent grade

• university degree with a very good or excellent grade

• particular interest in (international and/or comparative) political economy

• very good quantitative and/or qualitative methodological skills

• publications in international peer-reviewed journals

• an independent research agenda; ideas for a postdoctoral project

• initiative, communication and teamwork skills
