The position is assigned to the subproject C03 (Prof. Mertins/Prof. Pagel) in the CRC 1449, in which we want to establish methods to further characterize mucins using mass spectrometry (https://www.sfb1449.de/Project-Areas/Project-Area-C/Project-C03/index.html). The CRC is managed at the department of biology, chemistry, pharmacy at the FU Berlin and the position is located at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine at the research campus Berlin Buch.

Job description:
Assist scientists in sample preparation for subsequent mass spectrometric analysis. We want to test different conditions and enzymes to improve our analytical assays for O-glycosylation sites on mucins.

Desirable:
- Student of Biochemistry or related discipline
- good knowledge of biochemistry and molecular biology methods especially for the analysis

of proteins
- Accurate and precise working style
- good English skills
