The Institute Accelerator Operation, Development and Technology is looking for
Doctoral Student (f/m/d) in the field of accelerator physics of electron storage rings
Your Tasks
- Examination of beam dynamics at electron storage rings with negative momentum compaction factors
- Work with tools to model beam dynamics like Elegant, MAD or pyAT
- Perform experimental studies at the electron storage rings BESSY II and MLS
- Take responsibility in the context of the development of user operation
- Present your results at national and international conferences and publish your results in relevant scientific journals
Your Profile
- Master's degree in physics or related fields
- Knowledge of accelerator physics
- Established coding capabilities in Python
- Interest in modern methods of software development as well as modern techniques
