The Machine Learning and Information Processing group at TUM works in the intersection of machine learning and signal/information processing with a current focus on deep networks for solving inverse problems, learning robust models from few and noisy samples, and DNA data storage.

The position is in the area of machine learning, with a focus on deep learning for inverse problems or machine learning more broadly.

We are looking for candidates with strong mathematical skills and interests. A requirement for the position is a master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field with an outstanding academic record. Interest in mathematical signal processing, optimization, and/or machine learning is important. Since the working language is English, excellent written and spoken English language skills are required.

The candidate will be a regular full-time employee at TUM, with pay scale 100% TV-L E 13. The expected appointment period is three-four years for a PhD student, and two years for a postdoctoral position.
