The Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition is committed to fundamental legal and economic research on processes of innovation and competition and their regulation. The Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC) is a cooperation project of the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition with the University of Augsburg, the Technical University of Munich and the George Washington University. Our main task is the implementation of the international English-language LL.M. program "Intellectual Property and Competition Law". 

For this program we are looking for a Digital Transformation Manager (m/f/d) (full or part-time).


Your duties 

The Digital Transformation Manager will be responsible for

  • Structuring and leading the digital transformation initiatives across the MIPLC.
  • Evaluating and implementing new systems to enhance our educational and research capabilities.
  • Working in collaboration with academic and administrative departments to ensure our digital strategy aligns with the MIPLC's goals.
  • Overseeing the management of digital projects, including those pertaining to finance and other operational areas.
  • Working closely with the MIPLC operational leadership team and reporting progress to the Project Board on a monthly basis.
  • Driving innovation and continuous improvement in our digital offerings.

Your qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in digital strategy and implementation.
  • Fluency in both English and German at a (near-)native levels.
  • A history of effective team collaboration and leadership.
  • Superior communication abilities suited to an international and intercultural context.
  • Knowledge of financial and administrative processes, with a capacity to contribute to these areas as needed.
