Coordinator for the field of Research Data Management

Your Job:

  • You will coordinate our activities in the German national research data infrastructure for plant sciences in the NFDI (DataPLANT, FAIRagro) and be in close contact with the German ELIXIR node de.NBI and the European EOSC project
  • You will be involved in the organization of project meetings, training sessions and workshops
  • You will be involved in the design, assignment and monitoring of tasks for an interdisciplinary team of scientists
  • You have the possibility for conception and direction of own research projects, including the acquisition of funding, as well as supervision of PhD students and postdoctoral researchers

Your Profile:

  • PhD in bioinformatics, computer science, data science, life science or similar
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Very good skills in managing scientific projects
  • Profound knowledge and experience in data managements topics
  • Good publication record and experience in writing project reports
  • Established contacts into the scientific community
  • Structured and analytical thinking as well as a systematic, careful working method
  • Very good skills in software design and development are a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English are mandatory
  • Working knowledge of German is necessary

Salary and social benefits will conform to the provisions of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund), pay group 13, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and the precise nature of the tasks assigned to them.
