Communication - Digital Media (m/f/d)

The Leibniz Institute on Aging - Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI) in Jena is a federal and state government-funded research institute and member of the Leibniz Association (Wissenschaftsgemeinschaft Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz e.V.). FLI’ s internationally visible and highly competitive research is focused on understanding the mechanisms of aging and associated age-related diseases. Scientists from over 40 countries are currently investigating the molecular mechanisms of aging and the occurrence of age-related diseases. Our aim is to create the basis for new approaches in medicine as a way to improve the health of the elderly (www.leibniz-fli.de ).

The Communications team is looking for support for upcoming projects and challenges, especially for the focus on digital media:

Tasks:

• Creative conception and implementation of appealing content for our social media channels, including texts, images and videos
• Continuous analysis of social media performance and derivation of recommendations for action to optimize results
• Support with website maintenance and optimization
• Support in redesigning the intranet as a modern information and communication platform
• Proactive monitoring and research of trends and developments
• Support with the organization and implementation of events and projects

Requirements:

• Degree or comparable training in marketing, communication, media design or similar
• Very good knowledge of common social media platforms and a deep understanding of their functionality/user behavior
• Experience in image and video production, also in graphic design
• Team-oriented, independent and proactive way of working with strong communication and organizational skills
• Fluent written and spoken German and English

• Employment contract in accordance with the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L), full-time or part-time, initially limited to 2 years
• Remuneration level TV-L depending on qualifications and experience, additional annual special payment (Christmas bonus), 30 working days of vacation per calendar year, two days off on December 24/31, performance bonus system and attractive company pension plan with the Versorgungsanstalt des Bundes und der Länder (VBL) (Federal and State occupational pension scheme).
