Along the strategic topics of Green Hydrogen and Carbon Management, electrolysis technologies such as water or CO2 electrolysis are important components of technical development at Fraunhofer UMSICHT. For our team we are looking for a scientific employee for the technical project management of stack development in the field of CO2 electrolysis on a pilot scale.

What you will do

  • Responsibility for technical stack/reactor development for CO2 electrolysis
  • Technical coordination along the interfaces to material and process development with internal and external partners
  • Support in the acquisition and management of application projects with industry and research
  • IP generation and protection 
  • External presentation of the subject area at trade fairs and congresses

What you bring to the table

  • Completed studies (Master's degree, diploma or doctorate) in the field of chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable subject area
  • Technical expertise in the field of electrolysis processes (reactor and process engineering)
  • Good knowledge of CAD design; additional knowledge of FEM or CFD simulation is desirable
  • Good written and spoken English skills 
  • Ability to work in a team as well as an independent and goal-oriented way of working
  • Particularly proven by relevant professional experience in this field

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
