Faculty 03: Law, Management and Economics/Chair of Civil Law, Commercial and Business Law, Comparative Law of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz

This chair focuses its research on commercial law, in particular corporate and capital market law. However, it also covers general questions of regulatory theory, in particular enforcement of legal rules.

 

Are you interested in business law as well as problems regarding law and economics and regulation law? Do you also consider to write a doctoral thesis in these areas and are you looking forward to legal work in a committed team? Then you will fit in with us!

Your tasks:

• legal research according to the orientation of the chair
• independent preparation and implementation of study groups and courses for students within the framework of the teaching load
• independent scientific work and further education

Your profile:

In addition to the general requirements according to public services law, applicants must meet the recruitment requirements stipulated in § 57 of the Hochschulgesetz of Rhineland-Palatinate.

 

• completed First Law Examination with a minimum grade of "vollbefriedigend“
• interest in private law and in particular economic law issues
• openness towards (behavioral) economic research approaches

 

Desirable are furthermore:

• solid knowledge in civil commercial law, ideally in corporate and capital market law
• good knowledge of foreign languages (especially English)
