Job description:
As part of the research project RISEnergy - Research Infrastructure Services for Renewable Energy, a multi-criteria assessment system for analysing and evaluating different renewable energy technologies is to be developed at the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis (ITAS). The work will be carried out in close co-operation with the project partners.
The following subtasks are to be performed:
- Overview and characterisation of renewable energy technologies subject to the project (e.g. PV, hydrogen, offshore wind, biofuels, energy storage) based on selected sustainability indicators using current literature
- Preparation of a white paper on selected sustainability indicators (in particular techno-economic and LCA-based) and respective research gaps in relation to the above-mentioned technologies and provision of corresponding data sets for the project partners for download
- Development of a multi-criteria evaluation scheme including a decision matrix (consisting of sustainability criteria, performance values, weighting factors, etc.) for the respective technologies and provision of related data sets in an existing software tool for multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA).
- Support in the further development of the above-mentioned software tool into a web tool with selected functions required for the project context.
- Preparation and realisation of (online) workshops with RISEnergy project partners to demonstrate the tool and its use for decision support.
