In-situ formation and microvascularization of human brain organoids on an engineered substrate integrated in a microfluidic chip for dynamic studies of brain development

UMR 8640 PASTEUR, Department of Chemistry, École Normale Supérieure, PSL University, Sorbonne Université, CNRS, 75005 Paris, France

We are seeking for a highly motivated study engineer (ingénieur d'étude) who wishes to work on an interdisciplinary and exploratory project.  The project aims at developing a platform, in which original microfluidic and micro-/nano-fabrication technologies are combined, to realize, observe and characterize the in-situ formation and microvascularization of human brain organoids reconstituted on chips. Eligible applicants must have a master’s degree with a particular interest in bioengineering, biomaterials, physical chemistry, soft matter, neurobiology, and/or biophysics. Experience in cell culture, experimental soft matter and/or microfluidics is highly appreciated. The successful applicant will work at Department of Chemistry of Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) and at Institut Pierre-Gilles de Gennes pour la Microfluidique (IPGG). ENS and IPGG are neighboring institutes in a dynamic scientific environment in the heart of Paris, France.
