Offer Description
Within the frame of the ENTROPIE project, IRCER is looking for a researcher (M/F) for a period of 24 months. This research project aims to investigate the design of nanoscale high-entropy alloys (HEA) confined in a micro-/mesoporous ceramic which acts as a support. As an ultimate objective, we aim at investigate the catalytic properties of these supported catalysts in the context of water electrolysis occurring in an alkaline environment.
The researcher (M/F), recruited for 24 months from October 1, 2024, will carry out his research work at IRCER made of several scientific tasks as follows:
-Synthesis of precursors from preceramic polymers
-Heat treatment of precursors
- Multi-scale characterization of materials; particularly microstructural
- Electrochemical characterization in collaboration with IC2MP in Poitiers

Eligibility criteria
The selected researcher (M/F) must hold a doctorate in materials science with good knowledge and practical skills in the synthesis and the physicochemical characterization of inorganic materials. Knowledge of ceramic precursors or even preceramic polymers represents an added value. The recruited candidate will demonstrate excellent organization and great rigor in his/her work with an accomplished team spirit. He/She will demonstrate communication and presentation skills to participate in project meetings as well as English expression and writing skills for the oral communications and potential writing of articles.
