Offer Description

The "Computational Neuroscience" group of Paris-Saclay Neuroscience Institute (NeuroPSI), and the European Institute for Theoretical Neuroscience (EITN), recruit a postdoctoral researcher for the mesoscopic modeling (mean-field) of brain regions, with the aim of understanding mechanisms leading to psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. The postdoc project consists of integrating mean-field models into large scale brain region models, for cerebral cortex, thalamus, basal ganglia and cerebellum. The objective is to obtain a whole-brain model where these regions are present with their specific properties and interact together. We will consider both normal activity and pathological situations. This work will contribute to the European-funded "Virtual Brain Twin".

The "Computational Neuroscience" group is composed of 7 researchers and 2 engineers, and is part of the "Integrative and Computational Neuroscience" (ICN) department of the Paris-Saclay Neuroscience Institute (NeuroPSI). These groups also run the European Institute of Theoretical Neuroscience (EITN). The research team is inter-disciplinary, at the interface between physics, computer science and neurosciences, with a strong implication in European projects.
