Offer Description
The postdoc will be part of the team "Physics of fluctuations, correlations and information" in the Physics department of Ecole Normale Supérieure (LPENS). He or she will be supervised by Guillaume Barraquand within a research project funded by the french national research agency (ANR) about integrable probability and the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang universality class.
The postdoc will perform theoretical research in the area of integrable probability, understood in the largest sense (which may include some aspects of random matrix theory, interacting particle systems, or even algebraic combinatorics). He or she will publish their work in physics or mathematics journals. He or she may also participate in the organization of scientific events.
The postdoc will have a shared office in the Physics department of Ecole Normale Supérieure. He or she will participate in the scientific life of the Statistical Physics axis of the department. He or she may also have interactions with members of the mathematics department at ENS or with other researchers in the Paris area.
Funding to participate to conferences or to invite collaborators will be available.

Eligibility criteria
Profile: PhD in mathematics or theoretical physics.
Prior experience in at least one of the following areas will be appreciated:
