A Postdoctoral Position in our Corticogenesis team at the Institute for Neurosciences in Montpellier is available for a highly motivated candidate with a background in mouse neurodevelopment and cellular and molecular biology. Specifically, the project linked to this position will aim to characterize the cellular, molecular and functional impact of chronic pesticide exposure during the perinatal period on murine brain development in a healthy and pathological context (genetic models of neurodevelopmental pathologies). The successful applicant will be responsible for performing experiments in the laboratory, including 1) basic molecular biology (preparation of DNA plasmids, genotyping) and histological techniques, 2) mouse handling, surgery and behavioral tests, and 3) imaging (confocal and multiphoton) on fixed tissue or live animals. The successful applicant will carry out data analysis resulting from experiments, help with manuscript preparation/writing and results dissemination through regular oral communications in lab meetings and Institute Seminars. Salary will match INSERM standard.
