Offer Description
He/she will lead the extraction, purification and structural analysis of the different compounds
of interest. The candidate will use the latest chemoinformatics tools in order to annotate
the metabolomes of the preselected strains (MetWork, DEREPLICATOR, SIRIUS) to
thus help with the purification of compounds which will essentially be based on
separation techniques, with monitoring by LC-MS. The structural analysis will be
carried out by high resolution mass spectrometry and NMR (600 MHz cryoprobe).
Absolute configurations of asymmetric centers will be also examined if necessary.
Finally, the obtained structures will be compared with the putatively corresponding
biosynthesis gene cluster in order to propose a description of their specific biosynthesis
pathway.
Requirements
Specific Requirements
Desired experience: strong skills in analytical chemistry, separation techniques,
structural analysis, chemoinformatics approaches for metabolome annotation.
Desired level of study: doctorate/engineer in chemistry of natural substances or analytical
chemistry
