Offer Description
The postdoctoral researcher will be part of the BAAM team at LIGM (computer science laboratory at Université Gustave Eiffel, Champs-sur-Marne). He/she will work with Eric Fusy on the combinatorics of 3d maps, and will also interact with members of the team that are part of the 3dMaps ANR project, which funds the position. Majoritary homework is possible.
The aim is to develop models of maps in higher dimension with good enumerative properties and rich asymptotic behaviours. One can build from recent literature dealing with random discrete metric spaces obtained from mating of trees, but also "bubble" spaces, locally constructible spheres, 3d rectangulations,... As much as possible one aims at models with a natural 3d embedding. One also expects to be able to simulate such spaces efficiently, and have precise measurements of parameters such as the Hausdorff dimension.constructibles, rectangulations 3d,...).

Eligibility criteria
A recent PhD in combinatorics and/or discrete probability. Good knowledge in programming and simulations is also a good point.
