Offer Description

As part of a European Research Council (ERC) project, the CNRS is recruiting a full-time post-doctoral researcher in the "Regulation of Microtubule Dynamics by Tubulin Code" team, led by Carsten JANKE, Institut Curie, CNRS UMR3348, to investigate the molecular effects of tubulin code and their impact on functions at the organismal level. The focus of this post-doc will be to study the pathological effects of hyper-polyglutamylation in neurons and in vitro.

Specific activities include carrying out experiments and analysing data, in particular using :
- Molecular biology (cloning, Q-PCR, etc)
- Cell biology (primary culture of neurons, transduction with lentiviruses, marking of endogenous proteins with CRISPR/Cas9, etc)
- Microscopy (live cell imaging, immunolabelling, expansion microscopy, superresolution microscopy, etc)
- Analysis of microscopic images, mounting
- Biochemistry (protein analysis by western blots, proximity ligation tests, etc)
- Animal experimentation (planning mouse crosses for the project, mouse dissection, genotyping, analysis of animals for immunohistochemistry, etc)
The candidate will interact closely with the members of his/her team and the collaborating teams in the network for this ERC project, as well as with the platforms available at the Institut Curie Research Centre.
The candidate will also be involved in the dissemination of project results, through publications, oral presentations and presentations to the general public.

The Controlling microtubule dynamics and function with the tubulin code
team is based at the Institut Curie Research Centre in Orsay (91), within UMR3348 CNRS.
