The HERA team assessing health risks related to the environment wishes to recruit a post-doctoral fellow in environmental epidemiology for a period of 6 months in order to study in the PARIS birth cohort the relationships between exposure to automotive air pollution (PAA) and neurodevelopment evaluated in adolescence. It is a work of statistical exploitation.
The PARIS cohort «Pollution and Asthma Risk: an Infant Study» set up in 2003-2006 includes 3840 newborns from Ile-de-France followed regularly by questionnaires and clinical-biological assessments to determine respiratory/allergic morbidity. Monitoring extended to adolescence to cardiometabolic morbidity and neurodevelopment. The exposure to PAA is assessed throughout the lifetime by a physico-chemical model of dispersion of road pollutant tracers.
The post-doctoral researcher will work in collaboration with the epidemiologists of the HERA team and Dr Maryse Bouchard, from the Institut national de la recherche scientique (INRS), Centre de recherche Armand-Frappier Santé Biotechnologie, in Quebec City.
