Offer Description

As part of the European NOVA project, new materials and surface coatings with antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties will be developed. These coatings will be tested in particular on various types of medical devices, both implantable and non-implantable (catheters, probes, ancillary equipment). Tasks will include defining these new biopolymer-based coatings and assessing their antimicrobial, biodegradability and biocompatibility properties. The researcher will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of chemists, physical chemists and biologists.

 

Main activities :

• Bibliographical studies, in particular for scientific watch
• Experiments in cell biology and microbiology
• Experiments in physico-chemistry (confocal microscopy, SEM, microbalance...
• Scientific drafting of articles
• Oral presentation at consortium meetings and at national or international meetings.

Associated activities :

• Participation in the organization of the laboratory in harmony with other researchers, technicians and students (management of orders, maintenance of equipment and workstations)
• Synthesis of results (every 15 days) and oral discussion with the team
• Drafting of scientific reports on the European project according to European Commission formats
• Help with administrative reporting on the European project to the supervisory bodies and the European Commission
