Offer Description
The NanoShapeLearn ANR project under CNRS leadership, brings together specialist in DNA nanotech, molecular programming and computer science, to design new material able to encode and learn their own shape. The final objective of the project is to develop new strategies to incorporate information, learning and replication in nanostructures.
The project aims to create a new architecture for DNA nanostructures, that will be compatible with enzymatic reactions for the exchange of information between connected bricks. This will enable a completely new approach to the design, synthesis and management of molecular nanostructures. As a post-doc, you will be integrated into a multi-disciplinary team based in Paris with close interactions with other groups form the NanoShapeLearn Consortium.
The SPM (Molecular Programs and Systems) team from laboratory Gulliver is located at the École Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de la Ville de Paris (ESPCI Paris PSL). ESPCI is a “Grande École d'Ingénieurs” with a strong international reputation for research (6 Nobel Prizes) and a member of the Université PSL (Paris Sciences & Lettres). ESPCI is a highly multidisciplinary environment with teaching and research in physics, chemistry, and biology. The project will be directed by Yannick Rondelez.
The team focuses on DNA-encoded in vitro molecular systems with complex behaviors and explores its main applications: new generation diagnostic tools, directed evolution of enzymes and molecular processing of information. The team has expertise in droplet-based microfluidics for ultrahigh-throughput experiments, and combination with advanced NGS analysis. The group is highly multidisciplinary with people coming from background spanning physics, chemistry and biology.
