CONTEXT & JOB DESCRIPTION
In a team of eight technicians, you will take part in the running of the EBS accelerator complex and work on shift in the Control Room with the following missions:
- Monitor, record, analyze and act on the accelerator parameters in order to maintain the level of the machine performance;
- Carry out diagnostics and repairs to the accelerator hardware when breakdowns occur, in collaboration with qualified people on standby if needed;
- Coordinate actions in emergency situations involving the safety of people and equipment;
- Participate in the storage ring equipment test and commissioning.
Shifts are presently organized on a three times 8-hour a day cycle throughout the year, including weekends and public holidays, in compliance with French legislation.
EXPECTED PROFILE
- You should hold a technician degree (BSc, Licence, HND, HNC, BTS, DUT, Bachelor, Meister, Vordiplo, Perito, Laurea Triennale, Diplomatura, Ingeniera Técnica or equivalent) in a relevant technical field such as Computing, Physics Measurements, Electronics...
Required skills:
- 5 years of previous professional experience in at least one of the following fields: measurements in physics, computing, electro-mechanics, electronics or vacuum;
- Proficiency in at least one computing language;
- Notions of radiation protection would be an asset, as well as experience in shift operation of technical equipment;
- Team work capability and autonomy;
- Proficiency in English (working language at the ESRF) and/or French.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Permanent contract.
Shift work. The gross annual salary will be supplemented by a shift allowance.
The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
