Offer Description
The Planet Hub brings together the activities of some twenty research labs on the Lille site. The Chair will be part of the scientific strategy of one or more of these research labs, which will commit to providing an environment conducive to the development of the Chair's work and to creating the conditions for scientific emulation around the issues addressed by the Chair. One of the objectives of the Chair will be to initiate a research group that will support the scientific policy of the research lab(s) involved, leading to the submission of projects, particularly European ones.
The Chair's activities may, if necessary, benefit from access to the University's scientific and technological platforms under the conditions defined by the platforms' charter.
The research labs likely to host a chair are listed at this address :

The person recruited is expected to be involved in communication with the general public, in the context of public conferences organized by the University of Lille, the Science Festival, articles, podcasts and popularization videos that will be disseminated via social networks (LinkedIn, Twitter) of the University of Lille.
She will also be invited to communicate in "The Conversation", media in which the University of Lille participates very regularly.
The candidate's project will include a training component linked to his or her research project, which will be developed in collaboration with a faculty or school-component of the University of Lille. During the pre-tenure contract phase, the candidate will carry out 64 hours of teaching. In particular, he or she will be able to participate in the "graduated program" linked to the hub (http://www.isite-ulne.fr/index.php/en/graduate-programme-science-for-a-… ). This multidisciplinary training program is focused on research and is offered entirely in English to Master's students and PhD students. This program includes internships in research laboratories and/or companies as well as a study or internship program abroad. It benefits from digital tools and teaching, and pedagogical innovations financed by the I-SITE. An "accelerated PhD" program is implemented in each graduate program and is based on the early detection and selection of undergraduate and master's students who are willing and able to pursue research studies. Finally, master and doctoral students benefit from specific scholarships to pursue this program.
At the same time, the person recruited will be required to follow a pedagogical training course (32 hours) in order to integrate well into the teaching teams. Support from the faculty to which the chair's host lab is attached will be provided in order to anticipate the integration of the person recruited.
