Offer Description

The "Changing Cultures, Societies and Practices" hub is linked to the activities of some twenty research labs in the humanities and social sciences in Lille. The Chair will be firmly rooted in the scientific strategy of one or more of these research labs, which will in turn undertake to provide an environment conducive to the development of the Chair's work and to create the conditions for scientific emulation around the issues addressed by the Chair. One of the objectives of the Chair will be to initiate a research group that will support the scientific policy of the research lab(s) concerned.
The research labs likely to host a chair are listed at this address :
https://www.univ-lille.fr/recherche/identifier-une-structure-de-recherc… ?
The scientific approach developed by the Chair will be in line with the major thematic orientations that define the major structuring challenges of the Hub "Changing Cultures, Societies and Practices".
These challenges focus, first of all, on the dynamics of transformation of institutions, organizations and identities, on an individual or collective, national, European and international scale.
Secondly, the Hub critically analyzes the new or reinforced risks resulting from these transformations and works towards the construction of responses adapted to preventing and managing the individual and collective repercussions of these changes and the forms of vulnerability they cause, particularly in the field of work, health and environment.
Thirdly, it proposes to understand the dynamics of Europe, both in terms of cooperation and the fracture lines that cross its territories, while taking into account the articulation between the local and the international, within a globalized world. It encourages the historical study of the European cultural space, a melting pot of shared identities and specific claims.
The proposed profile is therefore likely to attract a variety of applications, centered on one of the three themes of the Hub, transversal to them or even in interdisciplinary relation with the issues of the other Hubs (Health, Planet, Digital).
The project of the person recruited will include a training component linked to his/her research project, which he/she will develop in collaboration with a faculty or a school-component of the University of Lille. During the pre-tenure contract phase, the person recruited will carry out 64h EqTD of teaching. In particular, he or she will be able to participate in the "graduated program" linked to the Societies hub. This is a multidisciplinary program at the Master's and Doctoral levels, based on the early detection and selection of Master's students who are willing and able to pursue doctoral research studies (http://www.isite-ulne.fr/index.php/en/graduate-programme-changing-cultu… ).
At the same time, the person recruited will be required to follow a pedagogical training course (32 hours) in order to integrate well into the teaching teams.
Support by the faculty or the component institution of the lab hosting the Chair will be provided in order to anticipate the integration of the person recruited.
