CONTEXT

The Franco-German consortium VIRTFac (Virtual Innovative Real Time Factory) is developing a web-based virtual factory platform to support companies at various levels of maturity in planning the evolution of their production systems, and addresses research issues related to the virtual factory and new information technologies.

The mission concerns the development of applications and web interfaces; these tools are part of the execution of a demonstrator (WorkPackage 5 of the VIRTFac project).

We have developed an API for the VIRTFac project that aims to establish a link between the different applications used in the project. It is this API that allows the storage and retrieval of data from the different applications, by directly integrating the communication with the database. Thus, the development of applications will have to integrate the communication with this API.
