The University of Helsinki International trainee programme is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme.  

Join our international team as an trainee at the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences. The University of Helsinki International trainee programme is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme.

At the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences we have two projects open for Traineeships for international Master’s Programme students:

  • Conducting and coordinating a survey on the effectiveness of advertising for the winter application of Master’s programmes at the Faculty.
  • Mapping the accessibility of the curricula of the Faculty’s Master’s programmes.
  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in project management and monitoring.
    • Engage in effective communication with project partners.
    • Perform additional duties as required.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • Enrolled in the international Master’s Programme, University of Helsinki
    • Proficient in written and spoken English. Other language skills are an asset.
    • Strong computing skills, including MS Office proficiency.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Experience in conducting surveys is considered a strength for the applicant.

    The duration of a traineeship is 1 September to 31 December 2024 (four months) of part-time (50%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €700 per month for a part-time (50%) trainee.

    The person we are looking for:

    We expect you to have an interest in and the willingness to learn more about higher education projects in  sciences. We hope you have a development orientated mindset and the ability to work independently. We expect you to have excellent oral and written communication skills and the capability to produce written material for various channels. Good IT skills are an asset.
