Trainee for Teaching and Learning Services for the Faculty of Education

The University of Helsinki International trainee programme is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme.  

We are looking for a trainee for our team in Teaching and Learning Services in the Faculty of Education.

Your main task as a trainee will be supporting the Master’s Programme in Changing Education.  Your task will include writing memos of meetings, developing services for international students, helping to welcome new students to the programme, to prepare events etc. These and other possible student administration tasks can be assigned to you according to your interests. You will be based at the Central Campus, mainly in Siltavuori.

You have excellent written and spoken English. You are a good team player with a proactive and independent attitude. We offer opportunities to improve coordination and quality of the programme as a member of an enthusiastic team. During this traineeship, you will be closely working with the team members, programme director, education coordinator and the steering group.

We will provide you with an introduction to university administration and services. You will learn how student advising is organized and gain an understanding of the field in which we work.

The duration of a traineeship is 1 September to 31 December 2024 (four months) of part-time (50%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €700 per month for a part-time (50%) trainee.

Teaching and Learning Services

Teaching and Learning Services of the University of Helsinki provides supports for students and degree programmes. Together with teachers, we create a well-functioning learning environment for our students. We are a unit of roughly 350 professionals in several separate service entities. We are responsible for the University’s educational planning, student and career guidance, educational technology, admissions services, mobility services for students and staff, the Student Register, counselling psychologist services, academic administration and support for Swedish-language education. In addition, we are involved in preparing and coordinating strategic decision-making related to university education.
