Trainee for international consortium: Digital Death. Transforming History, Rituals and Afterlife

The University of Helsinki International trainee programme is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme.

We are now looking for a TRAINEE for EU CHANSE funded international consortium: Digital Death. Transforming History, Rituals and Afterlife (DiDe).


The duration of a traineeship is from 1 September to 31 December 2024 (four months) of part-time (50%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €700 per month for a part-time (50%) trainee.

About the position

As a trainee you will be working in Media and Communication Studies with a DiDe Helsinki workshop team lead by Professor Johanna Sumiala, post doctoral researcher Anu Harju and doctoral researcher Linda Pentikäinen.

The successful applicant is expected to have:
-    Excellent command of English language
-    Excellent interaction skills
-    Excellent organisational skills
-    Excellent ICT skills
