We are now looking for a TRAINEE for Administrative Services at the Viikki Campus. The University of Helsinki International trainee programme is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme. 

Who we are looking for

We are seeking an intern with an open mind and an interest in learning. Your main task is to figure out the expectations and wishes of the international teaching and research staff at Viikki campus concerning the development of the services and support functions of the campus. You are expected to conduct a study on how the campus on-site services could improve and better support our international teaching and research staff in their own tasks and their participation into university activities. The study is intended to be qualitative in nature and carried out by interviewing international teaching and research staff.

Your duties may also include additional administrative and organizational tasks related to international activities, e. g. communications, updating websites, arrangements for international visits and meetings.

We expect you to have a proactive way of working and have the ability to learn and adapt new things quickly. You will also need fluency in English, good interpersonal skills and willingness to meet new people.

Viikki Campus is the home base for four faculties operating in the field of agriculture, forestry, bio- and veterinary sciences and pharmacy. Thus, interest in life sciences is considered an asset.

The duration of a traineeship is from 1 September to 31 December 2024 (four months) of part-time (50%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €700 per month for a part-time (50%) trainee.
