We are now seeking a

Data Analyst

to develop Aalto's management information service to meet complex and ever-growing digital management challenges. In this role, you will be able to influence what kind of analyzed information is available to the management of the university and its departments. The rapid development of tools increases the need for in-house professionals that can help navigate and establish best practices for our community and stakeholders. 

As a Data Analyst you will develop qualitative reporting and content analysis to raise of the level of Data & Analytics across the University, e.g. operationalize KPI’s, incl. visualizations and predictions, as well as developing DIY information services.  

You have 

• Applicable University degree 
• Knack for problem solving and analytical thinking combined with the interest to understand Aalto University's core functions thoroughly 
• Experience with PowerBI (building reports, visualizing) to present concisely comprehensive and complex material with analysis considering the needs of the customers 
• Ability to communicate efficiently in Finnish and English 
• Experience working in a university environment 

We also value 

• Python programming skills (data manipulation and ML libraries) 
• Familiarity with SQL and Azure (Data Factory and Databricks) 
• Understanding of statistical and machine learning methods for forecasting
